Friends of the Orphan Signs partnered with students from Highland High School in 2011 to develop designs for the "orphaned" sign at the former El Serape Restaurant site on Central Avenue.  Lead Artist Ellen Babcock and her students reinterpreted the sign into a new work of Public Art.  The work will be lit at night using LED lights and neon around the edges.  The sign is located at 4119 Central NE.
