 Hahn Arroyo Dedication on December 3rd!

The dedication of the Hahn Arroyo, which includes the mosaic public art project "Rain to River", is scheduled for December 3rd at 10am. Please join the Albuquerque Metropolitan Flood Control Authority (AMAFCA), the Albuquerque Arts Board and the Public Art staff for the official unveiling of the newly enhanced Hahn Arroyo.

The ceremony will take place near the intersection of San Pedro NE and the Hahn Arroyo, (south of Comanche/north of Candelaria, see map below for the exact location).

Deadline for "Citywide Sculpture" Submissions is Fast Approaching!

City-wide Sculpture Call

The "City-wide Sculpture Project" will commission nine artists to create sculptures for each of the nine City Council districts in Albuquerque. Emerging artists as well as more established artists from New Mexico are encouraged to apply. Each artist will be given up to $30,000 to complete their project! The deadline for initial submissions is December 16th, 2011.   

All artists will submit preliminary materials via CallforEntry.org. For more information about the project visit our "Opportunities for Artists" webpage.

Kolowisi Gets Re-coated

Kolowisi is repainted
"Kolowisi" at 8th and Lomas 
"Kolowisi" by artist Andrew Shows is in the process of getting re-painted. Work began over the holiday weekend with a primer coat and now the first part of a vibrant red-orange has been applied.
