 Public Art Dedication on October 22nd    
Sisters of Mercy Sculpture 
Wings by artist Linda Dabeau 

The dedication of "Wings" by artist Linda Dabeau at the Martineztown Park (Edith and Roma NE) will be held on Saturday October 22nd at 3:00pm. The sculpture was donated by the Citizens Information Committee of Martineztown in honor of the Sisters of Mercy. Join us in celebrating a new piece of public art!

 

ISEA is coming to Albuquerque in 2012

The International Society of Electronic Arts (ISEA) is coming to Albuquerque in the fall of 2012 and The Albuquerque Public Art Program is pleased to announce an ISEA2012 Themed Public Art Design Competition. This is a design competition is for a potential site specific large public artwork with a $200,000 budget. Click on the link above for details and to apply! 

 

Real Deal Prints are Rolling In!

The Real Deal Printmaking project has commissioned 13 original prints by 13 artists. These lithographs and intaglio prints are being printed at the Tamarind Institute and other local print studios. The first one to be submitted is by artist Margi Weir and is titled "Of the Rio Grande." We will publish the rest of the finished prints as they are submitted.

The
 Urban Enhancement Trust Fund is pleased to help sponsor the addition of new fractal art at several locations around town. The Natural History Museum, the parking structure at 3rd and Silver Ave. as well as numerous schools and other public places will be graced with large-scale fractal art. Stay tuned for dedication events and visit the Fractal Foundation for more information on these math and science inspired artworks.
