Public Art Programming on GOV TV

Public Art on GOV TV this Weekend - Tune in!

GOV TV channel 16, City of Albuquerque's government television station will be airing public art-related programming this Sunday evening starting at  approximately 7:00 PM. GOV TV will air "Making History: Public Art in Albuquerque", a video about the history of the program that includes historical footage and interviews with past and current public art staff. The premiere of the video will air TONIGHT at the Historic KiMo Theatre. For full event info visit our events webpage. 

Also airing will be an interview with landscape architect, planner and educational programmer, Joni Palmer, who recently wrote a report evaluating the public art program. For a copy of her full report please visit our "Plans and Process" webpage.  

Lastly, GOV TV will air a short video about the installation of one of our newest public art pieces, "A Stop on the Rio Grande" a sculptural piece in front of the Greyhound Station downtown by artist John Davis. The video walks the viewer through the public art process through the eyes of the artist.
