It's March Madness here at WasteCap! We have several events coming up soon and we're excited for what this month has in-store! This newsletter includes WasteCap news, Lincoln-area news spotlights, and summaries of the past month's events. We also included the standard, new and renewing members, paper prices, and upcoming events.

WasteCap News - New & Renewing Members

We had two new corporate memberships in February, Lafarge and New Horizons Enterprises, LLC.
Lafarge is the largest diversified supplier of construction materials in North America and an industry leader in recycling and reuse of manufacturing waste and select consumer waste. Our efforts towards sustainability are in the products we supply to the local market in the form of cement and cementitious materials.
New Horizons Enterprises, LLC., a certified woman-owned business, provides 360 degrees of environmental services, including inspections and assessments, and also underground storage tank removal, asbestos abatement, and interior demolition. New Horizons serves residential, commercial, and industrial clients and is certified in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska.
We had two new individual memberships in February as well, Shervin Ansari and Kyle Van Dyk.

The second Omaha Green Team Roundtable meeting of the year will be held March 7th at Mammel Hall on UNO Campus featuring a panel on green jobs. The next Lincoln Roundtable will be held on April 11th with a discussion on alternative employee commuting policies and an announcement on upcoming opportunities for employee bicycle commuting in Lincoln. WasteCap News- Milestone Inspired Composites Accepts Wide Range of Used Vitreous Materials
| | WasteCap Nebraska member, Milestone Local Surfaces has changed their name to Milestone Inspired Composites to reflect their increasingly diverse products and services. Households and businesses now may take a wide range of used fixtures and other vitreous materials to Milestone to be recycled into the countertops and other building products that have become popular with architects and designers in the region.

WasteCap News - March 28 Seminar Provides Instruction for Waste Audits on WasteFinder Green App
| | A new mobile app designed for waste auditing and management is being unveiled at a training seminar on Wednesday, March 28th, 2012. The seminar will be held from 8AM to 12:00PM at the Center for People in Need, 3901 N 27th Street in Lincoln. WasteCap Nebraska has partnered with Lincoln, Nebraska-based CleanEarthApps, LLC, to build WasteFinder, an Android smartphone and tablet app that gives businesses the power to conduct their own waste assessments and manage the data.
