Members: Get Ready for 2012 Recycling Volumes Reports
| |
As the year 2011 turns into 2012, WasteCap wants to remind all of its members to put together their data for 2012 Recycling Volumes Reporting. This yearly report tracks members' collaborative effort at recycling and comes as a membership benefit (http://www.wastecapne.org/corporate-membership/). Keep an eye out for reminder e-mails and/or phone calls starting in January.
In these yearly Volumes Reports, WasteCap compiles businesses' recycling data and calculates how much WasteCap members recycled and how much money was saved on tipping fees. Each participating WasteCap member will receive a report comparing their business's numbers to the aggregated total. All data received by WasteCap is kept confidential and recycling volumes are only reported to the public as an aggregated whole.
Are you interested in receiving Recycling Volumes, but aren't a WasteCap member? Contact Carrie Hakenkamp at (402) 436-2384 for more information about membership.

Most of us are familiar with the waste hierarchy of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Reduce waste first, reuse materials when possible and recycle as the last resort before landfilling. Occasionally, one business' waste will become another's resource when such an exchange is convenient and cost effective for both parties.
