WasteCap Nebraska Program Updates
| | WasteCap Nebraska has been busy the past couple of weeks. Here is a quick update of our programs.
Annual Sustainability Awards - the WasteCap staff have been working diligently to begin planning the event to be hosted on October 13th. This year's keynote speaker will be Bob Willard, author of The Next Sustainability Wave, Sustainability Champions and Making the Business Case for Sustainability. Mr. Willard will be offering a workshop the day of the event and will be making other appearances and giving lectures in partnership with UNO, the Green Omaha Coalition and other potential partners. A draft marketing plan has been developed, partners are still being sought and staff will begin seeking sponsors for the event. Staff will also apply for grants to foundations to assist with the cost of the events. Another Bright Idea - Staff took a trip to Crete to set up 4 collection sites and scheduled a trip to Seward for set-up.
