2010 Sustainable Business Awards
WasteCap Nebraska announced six winners for their 2010 Sustainable Business Awards luncheon. Each award winner has excelled in being environmentally sustainable and making being "green" a part of company culture. The awards were given on October 14th, at the 2010 WasteCap Nebraska Sustainable Business Awards held at the Lincoln Country Club over the lunch hour. Several area businesses were in attendance at the luncheon, as well as the workshop held before.

WasteCap Announces New Type of Membership
At the 2010 Sustainable Business Awards, it was announced that WasteCap would officially carry individual memberships. These memberships are for any individual who would like to be a part of WasteCap's mission, whether their employer is a member or not.
WasteCap has provided three types of memberships: Student Memberships ($10), Annual Memberships ($25) and Lifetime Memberships for ($250). The benefits of individual memberships include receiving the E-newsletter, a membership sticker and card, as well as discounts on WasteCap trainings and events. Memberships may be renewed annually on America Recycles Day (November 15th).

Green Ambassadors - Update
Green Ambassadors Hiring Throughout Nebraska
The Green Ambassadors program was originally an internship; however, we have opened the opportunity to any qualified individual living in Nebraska. This means anyone wishing to spread the word about product stewardship now has an opportunity to work with WasteCap Nebraska.
