Imagine An End To Homelessness

It's hard to do...

but for thousands of former homeless and low-income people in LIHI housing units, it's a reality.

On June 23, 2011, there's an exciting event that will amplify the impact of your gift to the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI).

GiveBIG (www.seattlefoundation.org) is a community-wide giving challenge created by The Seattle Foundation that will increase the size of your donation to us.  This new, one-day, online charitable giving event will rally together our community on behalf of the amazing nonprofit organizations in King County.

We encourage you to join all our supporters in giving big on June 23. Your gift will support housing and supportive services for LIHI residents and LIHI's Urban Rest Stop, a hygiene center that provides free showers, restrooms, and laundry and health care services to homeless individuals and families.

GiveBIG will magnify your generosity in several ways:

·         The Seattle Foundation and local businesses will match a share of every contribution made through The Seattle Foundation's online Giving Center between 7 a.m. and midnight on June 23.

·         During the day, you could be chosen at random to have LIHI receive an additional $1,000 from GiveBIG's sponsors

So please mark your calendar:  Donate to the LOW INCOME HOUSING INSTITUTE between 7 a.m. and midnight on June 23 through our page in The Seattle Foundation's Giving Center:

And please help us make the most of GiveBIG!  In addition to making a generous gift, rally your friends to support the LOW INCOME HOUSING INSTITUTE on June 23!  Email, Facebook, Twitter (#GiveBIG), phone calls and even in-person conversations are great ways to spread the word and help us take advantage of GiveBIG.  Be sure to share the link to our profile.

Thank you in advance for giving big and we thank The Seattle Foundation for their support. With your help we will end homelessness in our community!

Warmest Regards,

Sharon H. Lee

Executive Director
