Emerald Coast offers 24 miles of pristine white-sand beaches stretching along the Gulf of Mexico. This sand, made up of pure Appalachian quartz, remains remarkably cool even in the heat of summer, and gives the waters their trademark emerald-green color by reflecting sunlight back up through the surf.

View a large collection of antique fishing rods and reels, the most unique is constructed of split bamboo with an original Penn Reel, that belonged to Earnest Hemmingway.
Emerald Coast Dirt & Vert...A 9000 square-foot skate park, National Bicycle League sanctioned BMX racing track and free style dirt jump park.
Emerald Coast Science Center...A child's fantasy museum of science, it stimulates the imagination with exhibits such as a reflecting Castle of Mirrors, "adult-sized" bubble makers, a literally hair-raising Vandergraph generator, an electrifying Illuma Storm and more.
Ft. Walton Beach Skating Center
Gator Beach is the regions' only alligator attraction. Gator Beach is a unique environment where you can view live alligators for Free. There is no admission to Gator Beach and your family can participate in a Free alligator show.
Heritage Museum of NW FL...Flint spear points, a black iron wash pot, crosscut saws, turpentine collection cups, a porcelain pitcher, lumber mill tokens, and old school desks portray the history of Okaloosa and Walton Counties.
Heritage Park & Cultural Center...Together these three museums form a Cultural Center which represents the history of Fort Walton Beach area Indian Temple Mound, The 6,000-piece exhibit, showcasing America's largest collection of Southeastern Indian ceramic artifacts, journeys through 10,000 years of four prehistoric tribes.
Sasquatch Zoo...The park provides an educational and enjoyable visit with exotic animals from many parts of the world.
The Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park...America's second oldest marine park (1955), it hosts Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, California sea lions, Peruvian penguins, Ridley turtles and more in 14 fascinating Gulf-edged exhibits.
The Track in Destin is your family headquarters for fun! Features go-cart tracks, like our Wild Woody three-tiered go-kart/roller coaster hybrid, to big fun for little tykes at Kids Country. Challenge your friends to miniature golf, Bumper Boats, or test your courage at our bungee jumping tower.
U.S. Air Force Armament Museum...Riddled with bombs, the only U.S. museum dedicated to the display of Air Force armament is "protected" by 25 reconnaissance, fighter and bomber planes such as the B-17 Flying Fortress and SR-71 Blackbird Spy Plane.
