Loans designed for remodeling
The first question people ask about a remodeling project is "How can I pay for the project?" I have a solution for you.
 
FHA 203k loans are the answer. These loans are available for people buying a home that needs repairs/updating or for people remodeling their current home. ProTime Construction Services is a contractor that meets the FHA requirement for these loans. Many banks do not offer them, but 1st Trust Mortgage does. The loan allows for projects as low as $5000 to FHA loan limits in your area. You can remodel a kitchen, bathroom, or do an addition. All weather outdoor living
Empty nesters Cindy and John Hart wanted to make their deck safe for future grandchildren plus create a bug-free outdoor entertaining and dining space. This enclosed cedar porch with a multiple level maintenance-free deck was the perfect solution.
 
As a second phase, we added a 20-foot extension to the back of the garage to create a useable space for John's hobby of building boats.

Money-saving tips
Credits and incentives 
City, state, and federal programs still have money and incentives available.
 
The Energy Star Credit, part of the Federal Tax Credits for Consumer Energy Efficiency, is available through the end of 2010 and provides a credit of 30% of cost up to $1,500 for remodeling projects including heating and cooling, roofs, and windows and doors. DSIRE is the Database of State Incentives for Renewables & Efficiency. Check the list of monetary incentives that promote renewable energy and energy efficiency at www.dsireusa.org
