Quick Links

If you have an article that you'd like published in What's Up please see the, St. James POA Communications Policy.

A key change in our policy now allows non-profit organizations that have a St. James sponsor or a chairperson for a function to place a 100 word article in What's Up? only.

The organization must send proof of their non-profit status to Carol Szot.  Details are contained in the policy.

If you have articles for What's Up, please email them to Chris Nicholas by the Friday prior to publication in order to get them into What's Up?.  What's Up is published the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month.  Please indicate in the subject line or in the body of the email that the information is for What's Up?  Failure to have What's Up in the subject line may prevent your emails from getting into the newsletter.

ARCHIVES

We have added links to newly created archives for two of your favorite documents - Cat-Tales and What's Up?  You can find these linkson our website. The links are right below the Announcement box and pictures at St James POA.  Check it out!

Greetings!

After last month's publication of What's Up St. James we received some emails asking if there was a connection between What's Up and the new online newsletter This Week St. James.  Here's what's up with that -

What's Up and Cat-Tales are official publications of the St. James POA.  There is no connection between these two publications and Just Judy or the new online newsletter.

We've established a new email address for What's Up.  Please use the following email address, whatsupstjames@gmail.com when sending information for publications.  If you wish to change the email you have on file with the poa, that email needs to be sent to poa@atmc.net and they can change or add you to the list to received What's Up and other POA publications.

All the Best,

Chris Nicholas

SJAC Dancing Under the Stars 2012

Put on your dancing shoes for the annual Street Dance hosted by the St. James Activities Committee on Saturday May 26th. Mike's Garage Band will be playing from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at the Founders Club parking lot. Mike's Garage Band will donate all proceeds earned from the dance to our local Hospice.   Join your neighbors and friends and dance the night away with your "honey."

Please bring your own food, beverage, table, and chairs. If possible, car pool since parking is limited. Tickets are $2.50 per person.

SJAC Street Dance -- Important Change!!!!!!

It has come to our attention that Troon/The Clubs has been issued a new Sports Liquor License instead of a Restaurant License which now includes all their Sports Centers, Pools, and Parking Lots. We have our Street Dance scheduled for Sat., May 26, 5:00-9:00 pm, in the Founders Parking Lot; however, we now are required to buy our wine/beer from Troon/The Clubs and not allowed to bring in our own alcohol as in the past. In order to make this "transition" easier they are offering a "special" of $13/bottle for the house wine (Chardonay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot, Cab-Sav, or Red Zinfandel) and there will be a concession stand set up for the entire evening. The St. James Activities Committee apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause but we were not told of this change until this week. Due to the large number of tickets sold, everyone needs to carpool to help out with the parking and we ask you to not bring large tables. There will also be a "Designated Smoking Area" that we will honor. Again, we apologize for this change and hope you will understand. The Street Dance is always lots of fun and Mike's Garage Band will be donating the proceeds to Hospice.
