Barnesville Oaks Public Hearing Summary
MoCo Planning Board approves inappropriate development on largest remaining farm parcel in the County.
By a 4-1 vote, the subdivision called Barnesville Oaks was approved at the most recent Planning Board Meeting. For more information on the hearing and
background on Barnesville Oaks, click here.
Although this decision is a disappointment, this issue is by no means over, we have an opportunity to file a motion to reconsider within 10 days
of the written decision. There is every reason to take this step. MCA staff is
compiling information needed to make the filing.
To this end, MCA and Sugarloaf Citizen's Association have retained a law firm to represent the Reserve and local community in this matter. Please consider a targeted donation to the legal fund. Make a note: "Barnesville Oaks legal fund." |

Global Mission Church Frederick County Court Upholds FredCo Planning Commission Denial of GMC's Water and Sewer Plan Amendment Frederick County Circuit Court has affirmed that GMC must work within the 5,000 gallons/day septic capacity and can not amend the Countywide Water and Sewer plan to fit their over-sized intentions for their proposed site. With this decision, it seems more likely then ever that the site plan will be denied. To read more and see the full decision, click here.
