Gordon Biersch Brewers Collection This awesome variety pack offers you beer lovers a great opportunity to not only save money, but also a chance to expand your beer horizons!! Here's a breakdown of what's in this magnificent 12-pack...
WinterBock is a strong, dark beer that was used by
eleventh-century Bavarian monks to help sustain themselves during
winter fasts. These creamy bocks ensured that the monks would fast
frequently. Gordon Biersch WinterBock is a classic dark double bock
featuring 4 different types of malt: Munich malt, pilsner malt, dark
roasted caramel malt, and black malt. This is a big beer with a lot of
body. Alcohol: 7.5% abv, Bitterness: 26 IBU, Residual Sugar: 4.6%,
Maibock
translated from German means the bock beer of May. Gordon Biersch
Maibock achieves its rich malty flavor from dark roasted caramel malt,
and lots of it. Originally brewed in the 14th century in the town of
Einbeck, Germany, it quickly became a favorite style in Bavaria. One
of the Bavarian brewers actually enticed a brewer from the North to
move to Bavaria where the style was popularized. Maibock is a great
beer to accompany robust flavors. The rich flavor from the
dark-roasted caramel malt complements the moderate level of bitterness
to create a perfect balance. Alcohol volume 7.3%, bitterness 25 IBU, 3.5% Residual Sugar
Gordon
Biersch FestBier celebrates fall and the flavor profiles of beers
served at the modern day Oktoberfest. Originally, the Oktoberfest was
held in the middle of October. The brewers were motivated to increase
beer sales and moved the date to the last week of September through the
first week of October. At the same time, they created the modern day
Oktoberfest beer with a lighter body than Märzen with a more robust,
hoppy flavor. The maltiness is created via a combination of
dark-roasted Munich malt and pilsner malt. The hoppy aroma is achieved
via the imported Hallertau and Tettnang aroma hops. Alcohol volume 5.6%; bitterness 24 IBU. Residual Sugar: 2.7%
SommerBrau
is a kölsch style beer. Kölsch literally means the beer of Cologne,
Germany. This beer style is a light bodied beer fermented using a
special top fermenting yeast strain, which we import specially from
Germany, brewing it true to style. It is brewed with 80% pale-malted
barley and 20% malted wheat. The pinpoint bitterness of the German
Tettnang hops and crisp finish make this beer perfect for summertime
enjoyment. Alcohol volume 4.8%; bitterness 25 IBU, residual sugar 1.7%
