Just a quick application update:
We are currently performing our 2nd annual weed control and Supplemental Fertilizer applications.
New this year we are applying a supplemental fertilizer and spot spraying any broadleaf weeds and clover on the same visit. If the weed population is high we will perform a "blanket" application covering all turf areas. Our technicians will make that decision while on your property. We are also performing our "Mid-Season Inspections". We evaluate your lawns current conditions and make suggestions on fall services for you to consider that will improve your lawn. The services include Fall Core Aeration, Fall Lime Applications, Fall Overseedings and the implementation of our Weed Grass Control Program (WGCP). The WGCP consists of 1 fall application (2012), 1 winter application (2012) and 2 spring applications (2013) This program is the only way to control "off type" grasses. It includes both Pre and Post emergent activity. Whitening and control of bad grasses will occur! On lawns with high levels of "off type" grasses, some seeding may be required in the spring of 2013. |
Powdery Mildew in Impatiens:
Although we focus mainly of your turf, We always like to pass on important information on other lawn and garden issues. The is currently an outbreak of "powdery mildew" on inpatients. We found this on the Internet and thought it would help. Powdery mildews are characterized by spots or patches of white to grayish, talcum-powder-like growth on the underside of the leaves. Without treatment for this mildew, inpatients will lose their foliage and die. If you are currently seeing this type of damage to your flowers we suggest you check out the web or your local garden shop to find out how and with what to treat your flowers. |
