Greetings!
March 2011 was officially the fifth wettest March on record. The record is 7.52 inches, set in 1957. Lawns have seen the effect of all the wet weather.
Were now in April and were finally seeing alittle more sunshine. However, its been very cool in the morning. Our technicians will start doing aerations this month and lawn rejuvenations. Below is information on the process of both of these procedures. |
Spring Core Aeration
Aeration is one of the best things that we can do as preventative medicine for lawns. Aeration loosens the soil and allows air, water, and nutrients to reach your lawn roots. It is also the best way to help correct the problem of excessive thatch build-up. Additionally, aeration of the lawn improves drainage and the uptake of water by the grass and encourages deep root growth.

The Grass Authority can provide slice seeding service to rejuvenate your lawn. This service includes: Core Aeration, Slice Seeding (Slice Seeding is done with a machine that slices rows into your lawn and drops seed into the slits. The knives are designed to slice into the lawn) we use the highest quality seed to match your growing conditions and exposure. We also remove loose debris and apply our granular starter fertilizer for the best possible seed germination.
