We have more details to share regarding the Affordable Care Act Grants for SBHC Capital and Construction. So that you are best prepared to meet the application requirements for this federal funding opportunity, please read the frequent updates that you will receive in the near future. ______________________________________________ The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) just released the guidance for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Grants for the School-Based Health Centers Capital (SBHCC) Program. The goal of the program is to award funds made available by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to support expanded capacity of school-based health centers (SBHCs) to provide primary health care services to school-aged children. - The funds are available for construction, renovation, and/or equipment expenses.
- HRSA expects to award approximately $100 million for
200 or more grants in FY 2011.
- The deadline for grant submission is
DECEMBER 1, 2010, 5:00 p.m. (PT).
Technical AssistanceThe Bureau of Primary Health Care will conduct a pre-application technical assistance (TA) conference call for the SBHCC funding opportunity on October 13, 2010 at 10:30am - 12:30pm PT. - The call will be recorded and will remain available until after the closing date of January 12, 2011.
- The call will offer applicants an opportunity to ask questions pertaining to the SBHCC program requirements.

- Sign up for email updates to the grant announcement... there have been 4 updates since Monday afternoon!
- Immediately register for a Data Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number at the D&B Website or by calling 866-705-5711 if you have never before applied for a federal grant. An application will not be reviewed without a DUNS number.
- Visit the National Assembly on School-Based Health Care (NASBHC) website at www.nasbhc.org/federalgrants. We will continue to post details and resources as we receive them.
- Take part on the HRSA call WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13 (10:30am - 12:30pm PT) to learn more information.
