We hope you had a wonderful holiday season with friends & family!
We had a fantastic time - both here at home, and on the road. Unfortunately, December's big storm kept us from celebrating with family on Christmas Day. We had to hurry back to the mountain-top before we couldn't! (These steep roads are serious business.)
But despite the dangers and hassles of winter storms, we thoroughly enjoy the snow that falls on our mountains. Sometimes it's gentle and lovely. Sometimes it's fierce and awe-inspiring. Either way, the snow is very conducive to snuggling (and gluten free brownies ;-) It's actually snowing again! We woke to a lovely blanket of white and came back from our last hike with the doggies wonderfully frosted. (And to think, we weren't going to have a repeat of last winter...yeah, right.)
Since Amy's birthday is on the 10th, we tend to keep things rolling here a little bit longer. Why not? When we put up a tree, it just stays up that much longer. Keep it festive. Keep on celebrating. Life is short, eat dessert first. (Or in Amy's case, eat something with garlic first. ;-)
We finally have some of our new music on-line now. (For those of you who only download these days!)
We also have a few fun shows coming up -- the beginning of our
High in the Blue Ridge tour -- in
Aberdeen, NC -- in
Great Falls, VA - and several other DC/MD area venues. Bringing the mountains to you ;-) We'll continue to cook up shows in other areas to celebrate this new release.
In addition to full-length CD release concerts, we'll also be performing with other friends at a concert to Benefit the
WHITE HORSE BLACK MOUNTAIN this January. If you live in the Asheville/WNC area,
please consider coming to this show!! Wonderful venue, wonderful cause. Details in the left column.
