Greetings!
Super Bowl Sunday is upon us, but first why not come out for some fun and start the party right with the family by running or walking the Super Bowl 5K and then let the fun begin! Prior to that day, Runner's World's own Bart Yasso will be here to run with us from Runners Roost Lakewood at 8am on Saturday, February 6th and then entertain us at 9am (plus we'll have plenty of copies of his book to buy and autograph!) inside their beautiful store. I've been lucky to know Bart from many years and he's one of the truly gracious, bright and iconic people of our sport. Prostate Conditions Educational Council will host him along with light refreshments, so please join us! He will also toe the line on Sunday morning at Washington Park for the Super Bowl 5K at 10am. Bart and I have just wrapped up three days in Carlsbad, CA at the 7th annual Running USA National Industry Conference where Coloradans were very visible and engaged in the volunteer work for this sport we all love. Here were some sightings: Nancy Hobbs, working tirelessly for Susan Weeks, CEO of Running USA (office is in Colorado Springs) Steve and Cliff Bosley (always leaders in the running movement) of Bolder Boulder fame (that are starting a bigger "green" initiative with Hydrapour stations at their amazing event on Memorial Day) Kerry Vargo of Kaiser Permanente Colfax Marathon, Lonnie Somers (newly elected Treasurer of Running USA) of the Fetal Hope Foundation Race Series and Hallucination Sports Timing were just a sampling of the contributors to a fun and helpful three days! I'm rushing to send this before catching a plane back to Denver, so excuse any omissions! Please go to our calendar to see the latest updates on events, and do plan on coming to the Super Bowl 5K (printable registration forms are also available at rundenverseires.com). Coming up after the Super Bowl 5K is the Assurant Health Valentine's Day 5K.
Please let me know if I'm including elements you're interested in and if I'm missing a topic, let me know! Clearly I want you to use our runs and walks for celebrating your health and fitness (isn't that a lot of why we do this and raise eyebrows on trails, parkways and in our neighborhoods??), but I also want to provide more of what you want. Shout it out and I'll try to get it done for you! |

Sincerely,
Creigh Kelley BKB LTD. | |
