| Year End Notes From Roz Spiller
Due to some persistent health issues, I am reducing my roll as President. I have agreed to remain President for 2012 with the assistance of our Board of Directors. Francine Fazio, our Vice President, is coordinating our 2012 meeting schedule. We will have exciting details to share with you after the holidays.
For 2012, I will continue to maintain the web site, email account, membership and financial records, preparing and printing newsletters, meeting signs, new member supplies, and presiding at board and planning meetings.
We always need volunteers, even in small capacities. Currently, responsibility is needed for two positions: (1) maintain and bring meeting supplies to our meetings, which includes our donated supplies (cups, napkins), purchasing other supplies that may be needed from time to time(you will be reimbursed), sign holders, clipboards, banners, and coffeemaker; or (2) maintain our library, magazine subscriptions and handouts. This would entail keeping and bringing a small supplies of books, magazines and handouts to the regular meetings (not fundrasisers or restaurant events).
Lastly, we are also looking for a volunteer with computer skills with an interest in web site modifications; or, assisting with maintaining membership records (Excel spreadsheet program required). A reduced version of this electronic newsletter is also being mailed to our mail-only list (however, this may not be completed until after the Thanksgiving Holiday). If you receive this newsletter by mail, a link is available on our web site's About Us page (http://celiacresource.org/about.htm) to the current newsletter and you can select and view the links. Unfortunately, we do not always have the resources to produce two separate newsletters. For 2012 the regular newsletter schedule will be: late winter, late spring, late summer and late fall. Announcements only will be sent out for special events and fundraisers, if they are not included in our current newsletter.
Thank you for allowing me to preside as President. I appreciate having the opportunity, however, the time has come for me to take a lesser role so that I can maintain my quality of life, and enjoy my two great grandkids who arrived this year!
Best regards, and best wishes for a healthy and peaceful new year. Roz Spiller |
