Welcome to Arlington-Smokey Point Chamber
Greetings!
The Chamber has created a new position. We now have a Membership Sales Rep that is out serving our Chamber! Her name is Judy Bradley and I hope you all get a chance to meet her.
Judy has a long background of networking and working with community service groups. Please welcome her warmly and let her know if you have any friends, peers or colleges that are curious about the chamber and what its membership has to offer.
We held a very successful "Membership Orientation" in March and will be holding another one again in June, right before the Luncheon.
We are very excited about the upcoming Chamber Black and White Gala, April 9th. If you haven't purchased your tickets yet, please call the chamber office and see if there are still seats available. I have seen the list of auction items and there are some brand new items that are going to knock your socks off! Literally!
I can't wait to see you all dressed up to your nines and having a great time!

CHAMBER ENDORSES EMS LEVY
The Board of Directors of the Arlington-Smokey Point Chamber of Commerce has voted to endorse the Arlington EMS Levy on the April 26th Ballot. Without question, the board has fully embraced the need for this vital service for the entire community, including not only the residents but the business community as well. With such a large industrial base where work place accidents can sometimes happen, having paramedics in our community can save lives and minimize injury.
The EMS levy will renew the existing tax and make it permanent, which will save approximately $25,000 every six years in election costs. The current levy is set to expire on December 31, 2011. Without EMS in our community, medical care will no longer exist in a timely manner. The Board of Directors strongly encourages you, the residents and businesses of Arlington to support the EMS levy. PLEASE VOTE!
