Are You Ready for the
Abaco Marine Flea Market?

Now that the holidays are over, everyone's attention is turning to the Abaco Marine Flea Market. Interest in the Island Boy Tackleevent has been heightened by the new ads appearing in the Abaconian and the attention getting counter cards and posters being distributed throughout Abaco.

Because of good sales at the 2011 event, several returning vendors have increased their space size for this year. There should also be used boats for sale at the Abaco Marine Flea Market.

In this issue of the Marine Flea Market Newsletter you will find helpful information about the new  Nautical Arts & Crafts section,  Consignment Selling and our efforts to promote group  sales by yacht clubs and fishing groups.

February 25th is fast approaching so register now to reserve your space at Abaco's popular, new nautical event.Spaces are available for marine related items, artwork and restaurant food vendors. All vendor spaces are $100 for each 10' X 10' sales area. Tents are available for rent at $75.

 CraftsArts & Crafts Section Added

With the large community of talented artistsPaintings throughout Abaco, it is only natural that the Abaco Marine Flea Market has a separate section devoted to Nautical Arts & Crafts.

As the requests for space arrive, we carefully check the section on the form that asks 'Nautical Items to be Sold.' This way we are certain that all of the Arts & Crafts vendors are together in the proper section of the Marine Flea Market.

Like all vendor spaces the cost for a 10' X 10' Crawfishsales/display area is $100. Tents are available for rent at $75. Be sure to indicate your tent request at the time you register.

ConsignmentConsignment Selling

Several individuals have come forward offering to sell nautical merchandise in their booth on a consignment basisConsignment. This arrangement is perfect for those with only have a few items to sell. Typically, the consignment seller works on a 20% commission for items sold.

The seller is responsible for delivering the merchandise to the Abaco Marine Flea Market by 8:00 AM on Saturday, February 25th. All items must be labeled or tagged with a selling price and a means to identify the owner (i.e. an individual's initials).

Anyone interested is selling items on a consignment basis or if you know of someone that has merchandise that they would like to have sold at the Abaco Marine Flea Market, call Donnie Albury at 242-427-0412 or email albehrendt@oii.net.

GroupGet a Group Together

The Abaco Marine Flea Market represents a great chance for a group or organization to use the event as a Outboardsfund raiser for the organization or a specific project. Have members gather old fishing tackle, boat parts, unused dive gear, even that old boat in the back yard. The Abaco Marine Flea Market is a great opportunity to turn old nautical gear into cash for a worthwhile cause.

To help promote your group or organization, we will be happy to list the names of vendor groups and organizations in our ads appearing in the Abaconian.

If you have any questions or require additional information contact Donnie Albury at 242-427-0412 or email albehrendt@oii.net.
