August started on the first day, as it does for most
people. On that very hot Saturday afternoon we found
ourselves on the grounds of Alfred I. duPont Hospital
for Children. Every year they hold a Summer
Jamboree for kids with diabetes. It was quite an event
with lots of food, inflatables, games and us. We were
thrilled to part of the event and look forward to future
events. To find out more about the wonderful work the

Then we were off to the Christiana
Hilton for their first ever Free Wedding Giveaway. It
was a tremendous turnout and one lucky couple won
a complete wedding! The Hilton partnered up with WSTW.
Let's hope they do this every year. If they do we will
certainly be there and we will let you know in advance
so you can
attend.
On August 4th we appeared in the Mill Creek and Hockessin Community
Pubs. We were excited to be interviewed and very
pleased with how the article turned out. The owners of
the
Woodside Farm Creamery in Hockessin saw us
in the paper and called upon us.
They were also in the paper as they were about to
host their Annual Cow Pie Bingo which raises
money for the Hockessin Fire Company through fun
activities and delicious ice cream sales. On one day
notice they had us come out for their Annual Staff
party. What a fun time! Our very own Jamie Sweetman
(above) fell in love with the toy cow and brought it into
the photo booth. Little did he know that it would end up
as our Photo of the Month. This memory will last
forever. And there was even a lesson learned, never
assume we are booked. Typically we are reserved
in
advance for weekends but less so for weekdays. Just
call us no matter when and you may be surprised, as
was Jim and Janet Mitchell.
August also brought us to various weddings including
visits to a home wedding reception in Monroeville, NJ,
to The Ritz Carlton and The Loews Hotel both
in
Philadelphia and The Greenville Country
Club. The fun
times and smiles were never ending.
Upcoming we have two charity walks to let you know
about. Our photo booth will be at the Start! Wilmington Heart
Walk. The walk is on September 13th at the
Wilmington Riverfront. We are delighted that the
American Heart Association is having us attend. If you
are already attending we will see you there and if not
please consider it as this event raises money to help
the fight against heart disease and stroke.
We are happy to announce that we will have a team of
walkers at the JDRF
Walk to Cure Diabetes on Sunday October the 18th at
Rockford Park in Wilmington. If you would like to walk
with us or make a donation please visit our team page. Registration
begins at 9 AM and the walk begins at 11 AM. We
hope to see your smiling face there.
