First Week of Classes 

 September 10-14th  

Classes start this week... yippeee!

Classes start Monday, September 10th (except for Seasonal Preschool Classes and Homeschool Classes). If you don't have the correct footwear for the first week, please don't worry. You can check out the amazing selection at our Used Dance Shoe Sale (see details below).

By now everyone should have received email statements of tuition.  If you have not let us know or visit our customer portal to see your balance.  If you have signed up to pay with 8 monthly payments by cheque, please have your post dated cheques ready at your first class dated September 15-April 15.  If you are on the payment plan by credit card we will charge your card for the first month September 15.

There may be a bit of shuffling of students in classes the first two weeks to ensure that they are in the right level and age group. We want students to have the best experience possible and being in the appropriate class is key. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak with your instructor.

The following are some dates that you will want to remember for the first few weeks of classes:
September 10: Start of classes
September 10-14: Used Shoe Sale drop-off
September 15:Used Shoe & New Costume Sale (10am-12pm)
September 16: Auxiliary AGM (4:15pm)
September 30:All tuition fees due
October 6, 7 & 8: Thanksgiving Week-End, no classes

Students will receive a Pantuso Dance Student Handbook during the first week of classes. Please take some time to read it through and note important dates on your calendar. Used Dance Shoe Sale 

& New Costume Sale 

Saturday, September 16, 10am-12pm
@ the Studio

This is your chance to get great used dance shoes as well as cool costumes (great for Hallowe'en, plus awesome accessories and clothes for everyday).   

Shoe Sale Purchasing 

This is a great opportunity to get quality, gently used shoes at a reasonable price. Please don't worry if you don't have the proper footwear for the first week of classes. You are more than welcome to wait for the Sale and pick-up a great pair shoes. 

Shoe Sale Selling 

If you would like to sell shoes please follow these guidelines: 

Shoes should be in good used condition.  

Please ensure shoes are clearly labeled with masking tape (on the sole) with your full name, phone number, size and the price. (Please note that Pantuso Dance does not take a commission on sales.) 

Please ensure that shoes are secured together with a heavy        elastic band or the laces are tied together.  

Shoes can be dropped off during studio hours during the first week of classes, Sept 10th to 14th.
No patent tap shoes with ribbon ties please.  

 

New Costume Sale 

We will be selling a great selection of new, un-used, surplus costumes, in all sizes, at excellent prices, including:  

Dance dresses, accessories, shirts, skirts, hoodies, etc.  

Dress Code for Classes  

   

Ballet Girls: ballet slippers, leotards and tights
Ballet Boys: ballet slippers, jazz pants, form fitting shirt

Jazz All: jazz shoes and form fitting, flexible clothing (ballet slippers are acceptable for young students)

MT All: jazz shoes and form fitting, flexible clothing (ballet slippers are acceptable for young students)

Tap All: hard-soled tap shoes and form fitting flexible clothing

Hip Hop: comfortable clothing and non-marking, rubber soled indoor shoes

Modern Girls: bare feet, footless tights and leotards
Modern Boys: bare feet, jazz pants and form fitting shirt

* Jeans are not permitted in any classes except for Tap.  

 

We know have access to the back parking lot, however we were not able to get parking lot lines painted in time for classes this week, so your patience is requested. Please make sure to use care in the parking lot and watch for children. Please park only in designated parking spaces. There is absolutely no parking in the gravel lot across the street. Thanks for your cooperation with this.
