WFA's New Location
WFA kicked off the new year by moving into the Charles A. Frueauff Foundation SHARED SPACE:
Women's Foundation of Arkansas
200 River Market Avenue, Suite 100
Little Rock, Arkansas 72201
Phone: 501 244 9740 | Fax: 501 324 2236
With our move occurring during the holidays, we experienced a few major mail service glitches. We sincerely apologize if any mail you sent us during that period has been returned to you. We worked with the post office to address the issue and have been assured that the matter has been corrected. Again, we do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Our new location is on the first floor of the Arkansas Capital Commerce Center, making it easily accessible to all visitors. By joining this collective of nonprofits we now not only share meeting space that will accommodate all board and committee meetings, but also the ability to share knowledge and ideas with the other nonprofits housed in the shared space. We hope you will stop by to visit us in our new location!

Volunteer Highlight: Debby Thetford Nye
As I begin my service as President of Women's Foundation of Arkansas' Board of Directors, I am thankful for the presence of the many TALENTED & CAPABLE WOMEN who will share the Board experience with me this year.
Much was accomplished last year to set the stage for our work in 2012. The Board made adjustments to our operation model and set a firm definition of our role in assuring the economic viability for our Arkansas women and girls. We have re-scaled our operational priorities, taken on the tedious task of developing the facts about the women and girls' opportunities and needs in Arkansas through partnerships and research, and have recruited knowledgeable and dedicated leadership. WFA has completed the hard work & we are ready for the next level.
This year will be the year of FUN for the Foundation and its supporters. We will be relying upon the organization's FUNDAMENTALS in place to function as a Foundation determined to fulfill its mission. As President, I will be UTILIZING all talents and resources of each member of the Board and staff, and seeking equally committed COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS to share their time and resources to help meet WFA's GOALS. The combination of knowing who we are and a focused energy will allow the Board to move to the NEXT level of activities in the furtherance of the Foundation's mission.
The year 2012 will be a FUN and productive year for our Foundation, and I invite each of you to consider how you would like to be a part of this great effort!
-- Message from Debby Thetford Nye, WFA's 2012 Board President

Founder's Day
WFA was founded in 1998 as a grant making fund through the Arkansas Community Foundation, and became a stand-alone foundation when our Articles of Incorporation were signed on January 11, 2001.
This year, WFA celebrated "Founder's Day" with a reception in our new office location. Fancy Free Photographie DOCUMENTED this year's event for us!
