Greetings!

Please excuse the website inactivity and radio silence over the past few weeks.

We got back from our 10 day pop-up shop in London tired but eager to overhaul our slightly dated looking showrooms. So it's been all hands on deck plastering, painting and re-configuring, and a slicker more focussed showspace is now emerging - we love it!

We've also been busy sourcing new stock, a selection of which appears below. The stacking tubular steel chairs with new ply seats and backs pave the way for the launch of our own re-make of this mid-century classic chair - new, improved and going online within the next few days.

Amongst other exciting projects we are currently stripping out an incredible communist-issue chemical plant in Hungary, nuclear bunker included, the fruits of which will be hitting the website over the coming weeks.

The Trainspotters iPad app also goes live within the next few days, joining the iPhone app already available at App Store.

 


Black Revo pendants with glass domes

A run of rare 1930's/40's English industrial pendant lights by Revo of Tipton, burnished cast-iron with original black enamelled shades and glass domes. Salvaged from a factory in the Midlands.

French 'Sammode' pendants

A small run of French mid-century industrial lights by Sammode, burnished cast-iron with heavy duty explosion proof pointed glass domes.

A run of English 1930's/40's domed industrial downlighters, in the original green enamel with polished aluminium tops.
Enamel in excellent original condition.
Salvaged from a factory in the Midlands.

Czech prismatic pendants (SM)

A run of dinky cast-iron industrial pendant lights with prismatic glass domes. Salvaged from a communist-era factory in the Czech Republic.

 A large run of stacking tubular steel chairs, once ubiquitous in schools and church halls across the UK.

Oversize antique pine table

 A magnificent 4.2m long antique pine table, salvaged from a large house in the Scottish Borders some years ago. Characterfully marked and pitted. This has been a mainstay of our showroom and admired by many, but re-configuration of our limited show space means it's time for it to find a new home. Although originally a dining table, the lowish side rails make it more suited to retail display than to dining.

A Recent Project ....

Deus Ex Machina, LA

For a bit of Californian sunshine why not take a trip out to Deus Ex Machina's new store on Venice Boulevard, Los Angeles. Whilst admiring the stock of this 'emporium of postmodern activities' you can admire how our long neck Czech pendant lights illuminate the establishment and it's stock of everything motorcyling and surfing related.
