Greetings!

In addition to the now steady flow of lighting from Eastern Europe we've lately been sourcing some great runs of British lighting and furniture.

Just in is a factory load (100 approx) of large industrial pendant lights with heavy glass domes, still in the original green paintwork.

We also have an array of bulkhead lighting in stock, including 2 crates full of unused Polish examples found languishing in the storerooms of a defunct communist-era factory. These are available burnished or in the original paintwork.

Excitingly, after many months of development, we've only yesterday gone online with our own tweaked re-make of the classic British industrial bulkhead light. We are manufacturing these entirely in the UK, and were fortunate enough to stumble upon the original 1940/1950's glass mould which means that the glass is being manufactured in the same glass foundry, and on the same template, as the mid-century originals. We would never manufacture these bulkheads, or any of our other handful of re-makes, anywhere but in the UK. This is partly a matter of principle, but also due to the fact that in this country we have a wealth of highly skilled and under-used manufacturers and engineers who's excellent services ensure that we get a consistently high quality product.

Continuing the home-grown theme we also have some great batches of tubular metal chairs and tables just in. These won't hang around...

Industrial Maxlume pendants

A large run of 1940/50’s British industrial pendant lights by Maxlume, salvaged from a factory in the north of England. Cast aluminium with thick domed glass diffusers. We’ve left these lights in the original grey/green paintwork, simply beeswaxing them to bring out the patina. Large runs of British industrial lighting like this are an increasing rarity.

Unused Polish bulkheads -Original condition-

We’ve been fortunate enough to unearth 2 large crates of these unused communist-era bulkhead wall lights with prismatic glass, found languishing in the storerooms of a defunct Polish factory. A stylishly angled cast-iron body offsets the angled glass. Supplied in the original grey paintwork which we've beeswaxed to stabilise. Fitted with new E27 or US E26 bulbholders.

Unused Polish bulkheads -Burnished-

We’ve been fortunate enough to unearth 2 large crates of these unused communist-era bulkhead wall lights with prismatic glass, found languishing in the storerooms of a defunct Polish factory. A stylishly angled cast-iron body offsets the angled glass. Supplied stripped and burnished. Fitted with new E27 or US E26 bulbholders.

Communist bulkhead lights

Cast-aluminium bulkhead wall lights with steel cages, salvaged from a communist-era factory in East Germany. Polished and fitted with new bulbholders. Fix to the wall through 2 internal screw holes.

Classic prismatic bulkheads

After a long time in development, we are delighted to unveil our re-make of this classic British mid-century industrial bulkhead wall light. Made entirely in Britain. Comprising a cast aluminium body with a hinged prismatic glass fascia, a rubber seal, and the option to enter the cable through the back plate or through the base exterior.

Each light fitted with a new E27 bulbholder.

Stacking slatted chairs

We have a quantity of these mid-century stacking tubular steel chairs with slatted beech seats and backs. In the original red, white/yellow and blue paintwork, beeswaxed to stabilize and revive. It’s first come first served on these beauties! Dimensions are for the seats.

Stacking ply chairs

We have a large quantity of these mid-century stacking tubular steel chairs with plywood seats and backs. Beeswaxed to stabilize and revive. Each chair has a male and female linking pin so they can be connected together if required. Dimensions are for the seat. Some localised wear to the plywood in some areas, as to be expected for their age.

Vintage school desks

A run of 1940/50’s tubular steel school desks, probably by UK manufacturer PEL. In the original faded turquoise paintwork with iroko hardwood tops. The tops are characterfully marked and graffitti’d.

Brewdog, Scotland

We've supplied various lighting and furniture to this small but upcoming brewery who are opening bars across Scotland. CM Design Consultants have just been shortlisted in the prestigious Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2011 for their design of the Aberdeen bar premises.
