Herbal Formula of the Month

Dan Shen Huo Xue Wan

Dan Shen Huo Xue Wan

With February being National Heart Health Month, PIHMA's Dispensary spotlights the herbal formula of Dan Shen Huo Xue Wan to benefit heart health. Salvia Militorrhiza, the leading ingredient in Dan Shen Huo Xue Wan, is widely used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of cardiovascular, coronary heart and cerebrovascular diseases. This formula invigorates the blood, regulates qi, clears heat, expels toxins and expels wind. Dan Shen is known to improve blood circulation by relaxing and widening the blood vessels around the heart.

To see if Dan Shen Huo Xue Wan is right for you, call PIHMA's clinic today at (602) 274-1885 for an Herbal Consultation. Because everyone is different, herbal formulas are only sold after consultation with an herbal intern to prescribe the appropriate formula for you.

Continuing Education at PIHMA

A successful acupuncturist must be able to transition from the academic setting to a working practice. Finding balance during this transition includes developing the desire and skills to treat patients, making a financial living, and maintaining a life outside of medicine. Three practicing acupuncturists teach you how it can be done.

Aspiring acupuncturists and L.Ac.'s are invited to:
