Herb of the Month Huang Qi - Astragalus Root "The Strong Immune Booster"
Huang Qi is an important herb that tonifies the qi and blood of the entire body, especially the Spleen, and increases the "wei qi" (immunity) of the body. An herb easily added to soups, Huang Qi enters the Lung and Spleen Meridians. It is an excellent herb key in enhancing the immune system, as well as reduce allergies. Want to know more about the benefits of Chinese herbs? Call PIHMA clinic 602.274.1885 for an Herbal Consultation and have a formula specially prepared to help you feel better. |

The program provides continuing education for nurses that will help them expand their awareness of the array of healing modalities available to patients, incorporate mind-body-spirit into their own self caring practices and those of patients and the community, and advance nursing skills in various healing modalities. Offered over five 3-day weekends, the program will run from August through December of this year. Can't make this year? No worries, PIHMA will also be running the program again in Spring and Fall of 2012, and beyond. For more information, contact sroe@pihma.edu. |

Corrections & Clarifications
On April 19th, 2011, PIHMA advertised a lecture by Dr. Eric Love on the Bach Flower remedies, inadvertently using the Bach logo. Dr. Eric Love is not affiliated with Bach remedies, the Dr. Edward Bach Centre, or the Bach International Education Program. He is an independent practitioner, who provides consultation and coaching using Bach Flower Remedies.
PIHMA strives to correct errors fully and promptly. We encourage readers to notify us of any mistakes by contacting Carrie at cthoreson@pihma.edu or calling her at 602-274-1885.
