A Tax Break for Lawyers' Contingency Fee Cases?
Give US a Break!
Dear    ,

This is just one more example of how the personal injury attorneys and their lobbyists aren't sitting still:

Since Congress already rejected the idea of a tax break for attorneys who take contingency fee cases, their lobbyists have made an end run around the legislative branch in order to become part of a Treasury Department order.

According to an article in The West Virginia Record, an administrative order from the Treasury Department could come soon.

This tax break could erase a natural deterrent to attorneys filing more of these cases.  In fact, it's conceivable that the more contingency cases filed, the more tax break the attorneys could possibly receive.
