Hi Single Moms,
It's hard to imagine that the holidays are around the corner. Most single moms' initial reaction is, "UGH!" At least it was for me! I thought, "How can I make it through this season, take care of my financials needs, keep my stress level in check, and all the while display grace and charm with Jason and Sara?" I continued my debilitating saga, "Most people don't have any idea what life is like for me! While they're going to parties and celebrations, I'm struggling with sadness, self-evaluation, loneliness and anxiety about the future."
Friends, I am one who DOES know what you're about to go through. It's true for a single mom: If ever there was a season that demands more than 100% of her fortitude and stamina, it's those six weeks between mid-November and the end of the year. Can I hear an amen?
So what's a mom to do with the holidays on her heels? She can't escape its pressure. After all, just walk into Hobby Lobby or Wal-Mart. It's already in your face: the pumpkins are on one side of the aisle and the Christmas trees with their twinkling lights are glaring at you on the other side. "Help! Someone come to my rescue!" you plead.
Well, that 'someone' is Arise Ministries. I'm totally passionate about a FREE event for mothers and children that we have planned for you in an effort to "refuel your souls" in maximizing the holidays in such a way that prevent the onset of holiday depression. It's Jingle Jangle, the Friday night before Thanksgiving - November 18th, Oklahoma City, a time for you to receive a God-given boost that sets you on the track of building positive memories for the season.
Jingle Jangle explodes with fabulous treats for single moms:
- Fun
- Food
- Laughter
- Practical tips in how to make this holiday season unique - one of a kind
- And even an opportunity to register to buy ALL your holiday gifts for less than $50! So don't stress out about presents! A SURPRISE awaits you at Jingle Jangle!
- Yes, it's free, but you must register for you and your child while there's still room!
So come! I know that many of you reading this live outside the Oklahoma City area and you can't attend, but you can glean from the tips I give by checking out our website after the event. I'll keep you all informed on how God wants to walk you through this season. I want every single mom to experience God's presence in such a spectacular way that she forever celebrates the holiday memories of 2011!
Jingle Jangle - Be there if you can. It's a holiday vaccine inoculating your mind in seeing that you are not alone and that God is at work in your single motherhood, especially in November and December. Trust me! Trust Him! You'll see.
Lovin' you,
Pam
