An encouraging message from Pam

April 2010

Hey, God.  The Door's Stuck!

I love it!  God is a wonderful gentleman.  He's a benevolent provider, a gentle sustainer, a generous blesser, but how many of us see Him as a door opener?  He loves to unlatch the door when it's wedged shut, but He asks us to take the first step in prying it loose:  ASK, seek, knock, and the door will be opened to you.

ASK! ASK! ASK! In Arise, He gives me lots of opportunities to practice that principle. He says, "You have not because you ASK not." So let me ASK: Would you come alongside Arise and join God where He is at work? I simply must ASK! How stingy it would be for me not to let you see God's glory performed right before your very eyes! It's like this: if you knew God was going to show up at your dinner party, wouldn't you send out invitations to everyone to come and witness His presence?

So here's the "ASK" invitation. You're invited to bring the life of Christ into hundreds of single parent homes. I'm not bashful. I'm not reserved: "Would you accept the invitation?" Whether you live in Oklahoma, Arizona, Tennessee, or Texas, you can be a "long distance" prayer supporter, even though you won't be at the conference in person?

This June will be the 6th annual Oklahoma statewide single mothers' conference, Survive 'N' Thrive, an event endorsed by Governor Henry and Congresswoman Mary Fallin.  Hundreds of volunteers, single mothers and children will be convening on the campus of Crossings Community Church the weekend of June 11-12. It's God's big blow out - His "Extravaganza Party" for single mothers raising children alone. This conference is His vehicle in bringing about a lifestyle foundation change where moms are given the opportunity to gain biblical and practical insight into raising children alone.

I love it when God tells me something like, "Pam, if I don't come through for Survive 'N' Thrive, you will fail!" For some, that statement might be scary, but for me, it just musters up my spiritual engine to "walk on the edge of His grace." It energizes me to confidently ASK His daughters, like you, to join Him in bringing the indescribable blessings of this event from heaven's throne room to earth's threshing floor.

So let me ASK again. Will you join me in "praying down" God's most outlandish favor on this upcoming conference? Friends, you can petition His Holy Chamber and ASK that His perfect will be unleashed into countless homes.  You can exercise the fulsome power that you possess through the Holy Spirit by ASKING God to perform profusely beyond what we dreamed. No matter where you live, you can ASK.

ASK that:
* single mothers will hear about the conference and come
* moms and children will come to know Christ as their personal Savior
* God will lay it on people's hearts to financially support the event
* the King of  Glory would be lifted up and His mighty name proclaimed

God's plentiful provisions lay on the other side of that jammed door. He's waiting for door knockers!

A fellow daughter of the King,

Pam
