Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Valentine Dance draws 400 to the BRiCk
Approximately 400 fathers and daughters, mothers and sons and grandparents filled the BRiCk Saturday, Feb. 11, for the City's annual Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Valentine Dance. They all enjoyed a dinner of salad and pizza, had their pictures taken under an arch of red and white balloons, partnered for the three-legged race, and watched each other go as low as they could go in the limbo contest. For more pictures from the event, coordinated by the City's parks and recreation department, go to the photo album on the City of Burleson Facebook page. |

Keep pollutants out of the stormwater
Love your city this Valentine's week by doing your part to prevent stormwater pollution. Stormwater flows over rooftops, streets, driveways, and yards picking up pollutants along the way and depositing them into storm drains. Any pollutant in stormwater runoff gets carried directly into creeks, rivers, and lakes. The most common pollutants are grass clippings, trash, soaps, pet waste, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, dirt, and oil. How can you make a difference? Read More |
