It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas!
It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas weather! Be sure to blow out the candles, turn off all light strings, and turn off portable heaters when you leave home or go to bed. Make sure the fireplace has a sturdy screen to stop sparks from flying into the room. Ashes should be cool before putting them in a metal container. Keep the container a safe distance away from your home. And, test smoke alarms monthly. For more tips on winter holiday safety, go to www.nfpa.org or call the Burleson fire marshal's office at 817-426-9174 or 817-426-9175. Read more |
