Not only are high grass and weeds unsightly, but they pose a fire hazard, block visibility for drivers, harbor rodents and snakes and contribute to pests like mosquitoes and chiggers. City code requires property owners and tenants to keep grass and weeds in yards and vacant lots less than 12 inches high to the roadway. To report high grass/weeds go to the City website, www.burlesontx.com, hover over "I Want To" then scroll down and click on "Report."
