Skunk found in dog house tests positive for rabies; puppy is euthanized
A test on a skunk found March 12 in a dog house on Bluebonnet Court in north Burleson came back positive for rabies on Tuesday. The City's animal services division responded to the report. A puppy, with what appeared to be a bite wound to one of its legs, was inside the dog house with the skunk. The skunk was removed from the dog house, euthanized and sent to Austin for testing by the Department of State Health Services. Since the puppy was exposed to the rabid skunk, the owner released the dog to animal services and the puppy was euthanized. For more, go to http://tinyurl.com/yc25atg.

Imagine Burleson logoWalk, bike, or ride the rail . . . what should streets look like?
How should Burleson's streets look? Pedestrian friendly? A variety of rail, bus, and trolleys? Bicycle friendly? Do neighborhoods, developments, streets and signs need a sense of identity? These questions are what formed three of the six core values of the Imagine Burleson 2030 plan. Go to Pages 14-21 of the plan at http://tinyurl.com/yacykyw on the City web site then comment on the Imagine Burleson blog at http://tinyurl.com/y9xgevm.
