Interurban Express Motor #330 comes Trolley carhome
Interurban Express Motor #330 has returned to Old Town Burleson. On March 6, Basden Steel, with the assistance of City park maintenance workers, moved the 18,000-pound circa 1902 refurbished trolley car from the City's old service center on Main to 124 W. Ellison, next to the Burleson Visitors Center and city hall. The rail car was placed on the trucks (two swiveling wheel sets that weigh a combined total of five tons) that were installed on the pad next to the center. Members of the Burleson Heritage Foundation, the driving force behind the refurbishing of the rail car, celebrated the occasion by posing for pictures with the car as it was lowered into place on the trucks.
