National Night Out awardPolice earn national award for National Night Out
You made it happen! The Burleson Police Department has been selected as a National Award Winner for outstanding participation in the 26th Annual National Night Out. At least 3,000 people participated in Burleson. The spirit, energy and determination of residents to prevent crime, promote police-community partnerships and develop neighborhood camaraderie was illustrated through block parties, cookouts and visits from police officers, city officials and fire fighters. The goal is to encourage general support for and participation in local anti-crime programs and to send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. To get your neighborhood involved in Neighborhood Watch and to sign up for the 2010 National Night Out, e-mail cro@burlesontx.com. For more, go to http://tinyurl.com/yjuwd7k.
