It's smooth driving on Alsbury
The reconstruction is done. The traffic cones and barricades are gone on Alsbury Boulevard, between Douglas Street and the I-35W service road. The roadway now includes a reconstructed median on Alsbury, a dedicated right-turn lane for eastbound traffic, and concrete roadway in place of the old asphalt lanes. The project took less than five months. The timeline on the reconstruction of that portion of Alsbury was 210 calendar days (seven months). The reconstruction of Alsbury Boulevard is part of the 2005-2009 bond program approved by voters. The cost was $1,404,879.23. |
