Homecoming Parade pictureDon't throw things, and make sure you clean up your area after the parade
Would you rather someone throw something at you or hand it to you? For safety reasons, and to aid in the cleanup after the parade, the City of Burleson and the Burleson Independent School District are requesting that those involved in the Sept. 10 Burleson High School homecoming parade hand out candy, not throw it. And, if you are there watching the parade, clean up your own area as you leave the parade route. Go to http://tinyurl.com/njqrnl.
If the road is blocked, emergency vehicles can't get through

If you are blocking the road while you are waiting to pick up or drop off your child from school, emergency personnel can not get through. The same applies to parking in a fire lane. If you are there, fire trucks can't get in. For more, go to http://tinyurl.com/mzkwsj.

For more about the consequences, as well as tips for dealing with pet waste, go to http://tinyurl.com/ny63b2, on the City of Burleson web site.
