Kids can cast a line at Bailey Lake June 27
The City's parks and recreation department will host the 2nd Annual Fishing Camp Saturday, June 27, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m., at Bailey Lake. The fun is for children who are at least 6 years old. The cost is $25. A non-refundable $15 supply fee covers the bait, basic fishing pole and hot dog lunch. Children must register at least 48 hours prior to the event. Bringing Up BabyCheck out free movies! 
The Burleson Public Library is showing free movies for patrons of all ages on Monday evenings and Tuesday afternoons. The June 15 showing is "Bringing up  Baby" at 7 p.m. The June 16 showing is "Lady And The Tramp" at 2 p.m. For more about the Monday night movies, go to http://tinyurl.com/mycds8. Thanks to a collaboration between the Burleson Police Department and CrimeReports.com, anyone can find out what is happening in their city and their neighborhood. Texas GypsiesListen to strains of gypsy jazz and western swing in Old Town June 19 
Burleson's
Old Town will resound with the strains of gypsy jazz combined with western swing thanks to the Texas Gypsies band. The Texas Gypsies will headline the fourth of five free Hot Sounds of Summer concerts in Burleson's Old Town on June 19. The music focuses on the 1930's and 1940's and pop and jazz standards. The 90-minute concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at the corner of Ellison and Wilson streets, next to Burleson City Hall. Go to http://tinyurl.com/qh4zsf.
Volunteer for full scale tornado drill
Raise your hand! People are needed to role play as victims in the June 24 full scale tornado drill. Volunteers must be in good physical condition and at least 13 years old.
