Greetings!

Welcome to this issue of Murata News.

During first quarter 2010, Kevin Wigington and his sales team have worked to realign sales territories and strengthen our dealer network to better serve you.
Since our regional managers are often your first point of contact with Murata, you'll get to meet each of them over the next few months in our Getting to Know MMUSA feature series.

We hope you enjoy the series.

MW50G -High Speed, Twin-SpindleMW120G
Turning Machine

By Jeff Kalmbach
      Engineering & Proposals Manager

Murata Machinery has recently introduced another new CNC turning machine to its product line, the MW50 high-speed, twin-spindle turning machine.

The MW50 Series machines are super compact and ideal for high speed automated production of small parts.

MW50 Series machines use the same proven Muratec three-axis CNC servo controlled gantry technology as the other MW Series machines and are available in a single gantry (G) version or the twin gantry (GT) version.  The high speed load/unload time for this machine is 4.5 seconds.

The MW50 Series machines utilize a four-station tool block which significantly reduces the idle chip-to-chip time from turret indexing.  Contact Jeff Kalmbach if you would like more details about the MW50.

MW50G and GT Machine Specifications
Twin spindle, four station
7.5kW (10 Hp) spindle motors
Spindle speed:  5,000 RPM
50 mm (2") dia. x 50 mm (2") length part capacity
