Peter has been a busy artist lately and we have lots of new work to share with you! The first piece really speaks for itself. Anyone who has ever watched a Tango knows that it is a very passionate and romantic dance. Peter's portrayal is no exception. The dramatic lines of their bodies, and the dark shadows from which they emerge is a great backdrop for the raw emotion that is expressed in their faces and grip.
"Slumber"

This next painting is a much more quiet piece. "Slumber" is as much a study of emotion as it is of the folds of the bedding. Peter's use of white and variations of gray are masterfully used to shape this woman's body underneath the cozy blanket.

Peter's fascination with the New Orleans streetcar continues. The juxtaposition of old world transportation against new world skyscrapers and concrete is very poetic. Who better to draw out the romanticism than Peter!

Having experienced one Mardi Gras, Peter is definitely ready for another! The energy, the history and the colors are all quite captivating. She has her mask picked out...maybe even her costume!
