Summer is here! Peter has taken a break from all the traveling and is back at his studio!  This first painting we share is the debut of a new model. Peter has captured her getting ready for a night out on the town.  Her wide brimmed hat is just the perfect finishing touch.

Peter's flower pieces are always amazing works of art. The way he paints with such enthusiasm and energy is prevalent in the strokes of paint. The thick application makes for interesting colors as the paint blends together. "Summer Wildflowers" would make a beautiful addition to any room!

Peter's study of light and dark has always been a strong point in his work. His technique is similar to the likes of Rembrandt, Vermeer and Hopper, to name a few. The "St. Charles Trolly" is a great example of Peter's technique. The figures seem to emerge from the darkness. The trolly car has quite a presence and emanates a warm glow.
