 ... highlighted by A Taste of Worthington, the Chamber's annual food sampling festival, this Friday, July 20, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., in the parking area of OfficeScape Corporate Center, 350 W. Wilson Bridge Road. The event is held rain or shine.

Event guests, who pay only $2 for admission (children 6 and under are FREE) enjoy affordably priced appetizers, entrées and desserts from area restaurants in a festive block party atmosphere, with live music and family activities.

 

crowd Area restaurants show off tastes of their best as they vie for honors in the "People's Choice" competition for the crowd's favorite foods. This year's menu includes more than 50 dishes from 22 local restaurants.

Soft drinks, bottled water, draft beer and wine also will be sold. A mobile ATM from PNC's Worthington Banking Branch will be placed near the beverage stations for visitors' convenience.


Live music will be performed by Chasing Buckley, a local band. Magic Cruises will display cruise videos and messages on a "Jumbotron" large-screen TV. The Columbus Crew will offer a family activity area with several interactive features. Other family fun includes a supervised children's play area; cornhole competitions for children and adults, conducted by Young Professionals of Worthington (YPoW); a "bounce house," and a caricature artist sponsored by Keller Williams Capital Partners/LaBuda Advantage Real Estate Team.

Gear up for golf as a planning committee member
strokeDo you enjoy golf -- or the networking and business exposure opportunities that are associated with it? Then, save the date for our Chamber's annual golf outing (Monday, Sept. 10, at York Golf Club) and consider extending the networking experience to include a role as a volunteer.

Volunteers are needed for the planning committee, which will hold its first full-committee meeting on July 26 at 4 p.m., and for day-of-event assignments.

Sponsorship opportunities are now available, ranging from $125 to $1,600. And, it's not too early to sign up for the outing as an individual golfer ($125) or for a foursome ($500).

DataCenter.bz to host August Business After Hours
Explore the capabilities of DataCenter.BZ as you enjoy great networking, food, beverages and door prizes at the Chamber's next Business After Hours on Thursday, Aug. 16, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m., at 555 Scherers Court (43085).

DataCenter.BZ operates Ohio's premier carrier-neutral data center and the largest and only purpose-built colocation center in central Ohio. The wholly owned campus maintains one of Ohio's largest collections of carrier, municipal and private fiber networks, serving as a critical point of interconnection for over two dozen Tier 1 and other major networks.

Monthly Business After Hours (BAH) events are designed to give Worthington Chamber members the opportunity to network with other members in an informal setting and to learn more about Chamber member businesses.

We encourage pre-registration. Select the registration link in the "COMING UP" box, above left, to reach the event website, and follow the prompts.  Be sure to click "SUBMIT." You'll receive an e-mail confirmation when successfully registered.

Members who pre-register by 1 p.m. on Aug. 16 will receive preprinted name tags and eligibility for door prizes.

Attendance at BAH events is considered a privilege of membership. Please note our guest policy: Members may attend this event free of charge. Guests (spouses, friends, and referrals who are considering membership) are welcome at $20 per person. The guest fee is credited toward membership dues to those who join the organization. The fee is payable in advance or at the door by credit card, check or cash.
