EVENT REMINDERS:
Don't miss Tuesday's (Dec. 6) Business After Hours at Worthington Jewelers, as we launch the holiday season and new business connections, while viewing the recent expansion at Worthington Jewelers. See the related article below. In addition to enjoying Worthington Jewelers' hospitality, the Chamber and Partners for Citizenship & Character (PCC) will present the semi-annual Business of Character Award. The most recent honoree is Geoffrey Biehn of Trinity Financial Partners. Join us to congratulate Geoff.
If you have not already pre-registered for the event, be sure to so by noon on Monday, Dec. 5, to be included in the Know Before You Go section of our website and to be eligible for door prize drawings.
Other upcoming events include gatherings of two subgroups and a new event planned for January.
The Women's Business Network will meet the new director of the Worthington Food Pantry and exchange gifts and networking information at a luncheon at Hyde Park Steakhouse on Dec. 15; registration information is below.
Young Professionals of Worthington (YPoW) are taking a lighthearted approach to gift-giving at a Dec. 20 mixer with a White Elephant Extravaganza theme. Join them at Hyatt Place. The registration link is below.
On Saturday, Jan. 14, the Chamber will hold a Euchre Tournament and Chili Cook-Off at York Golf Club. Volunteers are currently planning the event and are seeking event sponsors, amateur euchre players (who will compete for cash prizes) and both amateur cooks and professional chefs would would like to compete for "best chili" recognition in several categories. Sponsorship levels range from $500 for the major event event sponors, to $50 for table sponsors. Further details are forthcoming, but mark your calendar now and plan to attend. Jan. 14, 2012 - Save the date for a new Chamber-sponsored community event for euchre enthusiasts -- and anyone who enjoys a good bowl of chili on a cold Saturday afternoon. A group of Chamber volunteers is planning a Euchre Tournament & Chili Cook-off at York Golf Club on Saturday, Jan. 14, tentatively from 2-5 p.m. Please mark your calendars and let us know if you are interested in competing in either part of the event.

Friday, April 20, 5 - 7 p.m. - Reds, Whites & Desserts wine tasting and auction at Bridgewater Banquet & Conference Center

December Business After Hours highlights expansion at Worthington Jewelers in downtown Worthington
|  Chamber members and guests will mingle in the holiday spirit and view the exciting new expansion of Worthington Jewelers, 692 High St., at our next Business After Hours, on Tuesday, Dec. 6, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.
Monthly Business After Hours (BAH) events are designed to give Worthington Chamber members the opportunity to network with other members in an informal setting and to learn more about Chamber member businesses.
We encourage pre-registration. Select "REGISTER NOW" above to reach the online registration page, and follow the registration prompts. Be sure to click "SUBMIT." You'll receive an e-mail confirmation when successfully registered. Members who pre-register on our website by Monday, Dec. 5, at noon will receive preprinted name tags, eligibility for extra door prizes, and listing in the "Know Before You Go" section of the Website.
