...

Sept. 12 at Worthington Hills Country Club

In addition to enjoying great networking and golfing on one of central Ohio's most reputed courses, each participating golfer will go home with vouchers for a free round of golf in October and a free golf club.

York Golf Club, sponsor of our outing on alternate years, has graciously offered all golfers at our Chamber outing a coupon for a free round of golf to be played on any available weekday in October 2011. (York staff will determine any restrictions on days and times open for play.) Additionally, each golfer's "goodie bag" will contain merchandise and coupons, including a voucher for a free golf club available to each golfer for only a shipping fee.

Add to these freebies the complimentary shrimp and Blood Marys "on the turn," courtesy of The Laurels of Norworth and Worthington ... a box lunch and complimentary beverages ... a barbecue-style dinner ... a gift bag ... raffles and door prizes ... mulligans and gimme ropes ... hole-in-one-contests and skill/proximity competitions ... along with greens fees, golf cart, bag drop service and ue of practice range ... and great networking with fellow Chamber members. It's all part of the fun at the annual scramble-type golf outing. More details are below.

Act now to reserve your place for a foursome or an individual. Click on the REGISTER NOW link below or call the Chamber office at (614) 888-3040. See the Web site link for a list of available sponsorship and promotional opportunities. Donations of products and services are still welcomed for raffles, silent auctions and door prizes. Register now for the Chamber Golf Outing
Don't miss your chance to play in one of the best outings of its kind in central Ohio.the Chamber's annual Golf Outing on Monday, Sept. 12 at Worthington Hills Country Club

The schedule

Check-in for players at the scramble-type event will begin at 10 a.m., and a shotgun start will kick off the event at 11 a.m. The registration fee includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, picnic dinner and assorted beverages.

The event is a great way to build relationships with a customer or client, reward a dedicated employee, or treat yourself to a day of golf while networking with other Chamber members.

The course

Full lush trees and a mature course are among the distinctions that have earned Worthington Hills Country Club a sound reputation. The championship, par 71 course was designed by PGA Professional Charlie Lorms and includes many similar characteristics of a Donald Ross course.  The course has a classic style that you won't find at many newer courses.  Special contouring of the mounds and bunkers and the retaining wall around the water hazard on the signature 2nd hole have added to the beauty and challenge of this course. Impeccable grooming and well-designed slopes create greens that break so subtly you may not even notice it, but your ball will.  The greens play extremely fast, comparable to championship courses around the world.

The outing

The number of golfers is limited to 130 players. Participants may register as singles, in pairs or as foursomes. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishing teams, and golfers will have a chance to win additional prizes through a door prize drawing and skill holes on the course.

Hole-in-one contests on four holes

Hole-in-one contests, sponsored by France and Associates, will offer some exciting prizes. One hole offers a $10,000 prize to be split between the winning golfer and the Chamber; another, two round-trip domestic airline tickets; a third, a flat-screen Sharp TV; and a fourth, Callaway Diablo irons.
