You're invited to the groundbreaking for renovations at The Shops at Worthington Place ...
| The new owners of The Shops at Worthington Place are hosting a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on the planned renovations for the 138,000 square foot mixed-use retail center -- and you're invited! City officials and the public will join new owners on Thursday, July 28, at 10:30 a.m. to break ground and celebrate the start of construction. City officials, Worthington Place owners and tenants, and members of the community will don hard hats and break ground with commemorative shovels. Renderings will be on display showing the proposed renovations.
Formerly, Worthington Square, The Shops at Worthington Place will undergo an over $10 million renovation and reinvention. Renovation plans include updated entry elements, additional exterior oriented retail and restaurant space, an interim remodel and new site amenities including upgraded egress and ingress, new landscaping, an indoor fireplace, new furniture and fixtures, indoor and outdoor play areas and environmentally friendly energy management lighting systems. Additional funding will support tenant improvements and commissions.
The location of the ceremony is 7227 N. High St., Worthington, between Worthington Place and Kroger.

The event includes a camp volunteer project at YMCA North, 1640 Sandalwood Place, Columbus 43229, where summer camp is among many projects serving area youth. Following a one-hour break to clean up and/or change clothes, the after-party mixer for social and professional exchange will be held at House Wine, 644 High St., Worthington, from 5 to 7 p.m. Enjoy cheese and crackers sponsored by House Wine owner Donnie Austin -- and Happy Hour prices on many fine wines and beers. Also enjoy food from Rivage Atlantique sponsored by the Law Offices of Craig Bringman and Insurance Agencies of Ohio.
