Dear , May 20, 2011
Wishing you a happy National Small Business Week! In Washington, D.C., ceremonies and proclamations are promoting the segment of commerce that is the lifeblood of our economy. Here in Worthington, we're celebrating small business through several Chamber events and ongoing programs.
Our keynote event is next Tuesday's Small Business Person of the Year Awards Luncheon at The Worthington Inn, beginning with check-in at 11:30, meal and program at noon, and concluding at 1:15 p.m. In addition to celebrating the accomplishments of small businesses everywhere throughout our community, the event will honor Dr. Tony Lordo, a general dentist and avid community volunteer known for his personal and professional leadership. You'll have the opportunity to meet past winners of this honor, local legislators and other small business owners while enjoying a delicious meal and great networking. Limited space is still available at the luncheon. Call 888-3040 to reserve your place, or click here to register online.
Small businesses are also the focus of the Chamber's newest subgroup, the Small Office/Home Office (SOHO) group. SOHO will meet at Northwest Library on Thursday, May 23, for its second brown-bag session, featuring Chamber-member attorneys Sheila Sinno and Craig Bringman on four legal topics of interest to small and home-based businesses. Click REGISTER NOW in the box below to join this group and attend.
Many small businesses will benefit from the Combined Chambers Business Expo on June 16, as they gain exposure to visitors and other exhibitors from four area chambers. Have you reserved your place?
Restaurants and caterers are preparing for A Taste of Worthington; registration is now open for sponsors and vendor space at the popular food sampling event.
We wish you great connections and hope to see you at one of many upcoming events.
