Young Professionals of Worthington (YPoW) ... Get PoWered up for 2011 at a launch party for YPoW's new program year.
Join other young professionals ages 21-39 on Wednesday, Nov. 3, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at G Worthy's Bar and Grill, 2151 W. Dublin-Granville Road (Route 161 near Linworth Road).

Meet the YPoW Leadership Team for the coming year and learn about YPoW membership and opportunities for involvement on the Volunteer Corps. Offer feedback on the type of networking, social, charitable and leadership development activities you'd like to participate in during 2011.

Be among the first to sign up as a YPoW member

Following a year-long pilot program, Young Professionals of Worthington (YPoW) is launching its first program year as an official subgroup of the Worthington Area Chamber of Commerce. A leadership team of 10 young professionals (listed at left) is planning and structuring events and programs for the coming year, with oversight from a committee of the Chamber's board of trustees.
 You can be among the first to join the newly structured YPoW group when you attend the Nov. 3 event at G Worthy's, or by calling the Chamber office at 888-3040.
Young professionals whose employers are Chamber-member companies will pay a membership fee of $30 per year, renewable in the same month as their company's Chamber membership dues. The YPoW fee will become effective on your company's renewable anniversary date, and no fees will be charged for the remainder of your current Chamber membership year.
Young professionals who are interested in attending YPoW events as guests (including spouses and friends who may wish to accompany you to Chamber events), but whose companies are not Chamber members, may join YPoW at a fee of $99 per year. Their membership privileges will apply to YPoW events and programs only.
Year-round sponsors of YPoW, Chamber Sustaining Members and large companies whose owners would like to prepay membership for a large number of young professionals will be eligible for group discounts.

Upcoming Chamber events offer networking opportunities

 QuickConnect, the Chamber's direct sales opportunity for members, gives participants the opportunity to determine quickly if there is a fit in meeting each other's business or personal consumer needs. It's fun, fast and very effective. The Nov. 9 session will be held at The Depot Events Center, 919 Old Henderson Road, from 8:15 to 10 a.m.

Chamber members will have an opportunity to meet and mingle with elected officials and public servants at our next Business After Hours, on Thursday, Nov. 18, from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Brookside Country Club, 2770 W. Dublin-Granville Road, will host the event.
